Beef Thai Red Curry

Beef Thai red curry made with Nonya Secrets sauces is a flavourful and aromatic dish combining tender beef with rich, spicy, and slightly sweet curry flavours. Nonya cuisine, a fusion of Chinese and Malay culinary traditions, is known for its bold and complex flavours.
To prepare this dish, you can use a Nonya red curry sauce as the base. Here’s a general idea of how it’s made:
Ingredients
– Beef (such as stewing steak or sirloin), cut into bite-sized pieces.
– Nonya red curry sauce.
– Coconut milk for creaminess.
– Vegetables like bell peppers, bamboo shoots, or green beans.
– Fresh herbs like Thai basil or coriander for garnish.
– Lime leaves and red chili for added flavour and decoration.
Cooking Process
– Heat some Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil in a pan and sear the beef until browned.
– Add the Nonya red curry paste and stir-fry until fragrant.
– Pour in coconut milk and bring it to a simmer.
– Add the beef back into the pan and let it cook until tender.
– Toss in vegetables if desired and cook until they’re just tender.
– Garnish with fresh herbs, lime leaves, and sliced chili if you like additional heat before serving.
Serving Suggestions
– Serve the curry with steamed jasmine or basmati rice to soak up the delicious sauce and/or with naan bread
– Pair it with side dishes like pickled vegetables or a fresh cucumber salad for a balanced meal.
Nonya sauces make it easy to achieve authentic flavours without needing to prepare the curry paste from scratch.
