When it comes to grilling lamb chops on the BBQ, you’re in for a treat! Here’s how to achieve perfectly grilled lamb chops:
Choose Quality Lamb Chops From Roots Butchers:
Ask our butchers for lamb loin chops or rib chops. These cuts are flavourful and well-suited for grilling.
Remove the chops from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to allow them to come up to room temperature.
Seasoning and Preparation:
Brush the lamb chops with Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and season them with salt. You can also add herbs, garlic, or chili for extra flavour.
Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat
Grilling Lamb Chops:
Place the seasoned lamb chops on the grill.
Cook for about 2 minutes on the first side for medium-rare.
Flip the chops and cook for an additional 3 minutes on the second side.
Adjust the cooking time if you prefer your meat more well-done.
Checking Doneness:
Use a probe thermometer to check the internal temperature. Lamb chops are perfect when they reach 63°C for medium-rare.
Remember to flip the chops halfway through cooking to ensure even browning.
Resting and Serving:
Remove the lamb chops from the grill. Let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute and keeps the meat tender.
